【綜合報導】埃及昨日派出軍隊和坦克車，對支持前總統莫西的陣營民眾進行血腥鎮壓，對此，埃及駐美國大使塔費克(Mohamed Tawfik)今日接受美國CNN訪問時表示，血腥鎮壓「有必要」。

塔費克表示，如果現任政府不進行鎮壓，可能未來政治僵局所造成的死傷會更多。他說：「如果晚一周或2~3月政府才有行動，可能死傷會更多。當然，這種死傷結果是我們不樂見的，我們對死去的埃及國民感到沉痛哀悼，但無論如何，這次鎮壓是我方一個傷害性最低的選擇。」
