【綜合報導】美國總統歐巴馬1日在白宮演說時表示，這次政府關門是1996年來的第一次，他表示政府無法正常運作，對許多家庭與商業活動來說都造成傷害。他呼籲國會盡到自己的責任（通過預算），也讓許多賦閒在家的公務員能夠回到工作崗位。
