10:21澎湖外海發生規模5地震　震央罕見

【張勵德／台北報導】今天上午10時21分在澎湖縣政府北偏西方42.5公里處、約在台灣西部海域發生芮氏規模5.0地震，深度約24.4公里。各地最大震度彰化大城3級，澎湖馬公、雲林四湖、台南市佳里2級。
 
這起地震震央附近過去相當少見地震，根據中央氣象局統計，以今天地震震央為中心，周遭50公里範圍內，從1990年至今，只有在去年10月28日發生過規模4.7地震。
 
氣象局地震測報中心主任郭鎧紋表示，台灣海峽內仍有許多張裂的斷層存在，偶爾能量會從斷層破碎帶中釋放產生地震，但發生在台灣海峽的地震確實很少見。
