雷電隊第3代球僮狗菜鳥

王建民前東家洋基2A崔頓雷電隊(Trenton Thunder)第3代球僮狗，經球迷票選之後，確定命名為「Rookie」(菜鳥)，目前菜鳥僅6周大，預計經過1年半訓練後，會投入球場球僮的工作。

雷電隊從2002年起，訓練1隻黃金獵犬卻斯(Chase)擔任主場的球僮狗，負責在比賽換場時撿拾場中的球和球棒，成為小聯盟首隻球僮狗，深受球迷歡迎，不少洋基球星，包括建仔都與牠相處過。

而卻斯的兒子德比(Derby)則是在2010年球季加入球僮的行列，卻斯在去年10月6日宣布退休，由他的兒子接手，沒想到退休後3天，卻斯就過世。

德比的兒子菜鳥在去年底出生，雷電隊球團立即為他舉辦命名活動，經過上千名球迷的票選，最後由「菜鳥」獲得最高票。
