2013年美國底特律車展上，NISSAN針對旗下新年式Leaf進行售價調整，針對美國電動車市場開出第一個降價鳴槍。加上Leaf原本就有不錯的銷售成績，這個降價之舉也讓其它同級對手倍感壓力。直到7月份美國當地車廠FORD所推出的Focus Electric電動車，也順應情勢宣佈調降4000元美金，讓電動車的售價越來越親民。
