VW擴展美國市場的各車型銷售可說越來越積極，除了先前已表明會在墨西哥Puebla車輛製造廠投產第七代Golf供應美國市場外，其柴油性能車款Golf GTD以及新世代都會小車Polo也將成為美國的新銷售陣容。雖然Jetta與四門版Golf分道揚鑣，但未來Variant/SportWagen車型仍還是從MQB底盤平台衍生而來，有著密不可分的關係。
