中華青少棒代表隊今天從美國傳回捷報，在LLB世界次青少棒賽奪冠，贏得中華青少棒隊自2010年以來的第2座冠軍。

中華青少棒隊從1972年開始參加世界少棒聯盟的青少棒世界賽，戰績輝煌，曾經拿下17次冠軍。

自1997年退出之後，直到2010年才又恢復參賽，但從原本14到16歲組的青少棒（Senior League）轉到13到14歲組的次青少棒賽（Junior League）。

北市重慶國中青少棒隊在2010年首度摘冠，去年與前年都未能奪冠。桃園縣新明國中曾在2011年代表中華隊出賽，今年第2次參賽終於奪冠。

這座冠軍是中華青少棒隊自1972年以來，在世界少棒聯盟（合計青少棒、次青少棒）的第19座冠軍。
