微軟19日宣布，已在美國等六國完成整合旗下兩大通訊服務Skype和Outlook，這些國家的Outlook用戶如今可直接在電子郵件帳戶內進行視訊通話。

美國、英國、德國、法國、加拿大和巴西等國的Outlook用戶，即日起可直接在郵件帳戶內使用視訊通話和文字訊息功能。微軟Outlook部門產品經理馬蒂紐克（Dawn Martynuik）在部落格中表示：「電子郵件對多數人而言是重要的個人工具，但有時候你仍會想和他人線上或面對面交談。」

Outlook已能與臉書（Facebook）和Gmail帳戶連接，因此整合Skype與Outlook對微軟而言似乎是很自然的事。除微軟外，Google用戶也能透過Gmail帳戶打電話或傳訊息給他人。
