美優勝美地環火 近千平方公里

美國加州北部延燒20天、擴及優勝美地國家公園的環火（Rim Fire），預期今天火勢會加劇。環火已擴及996.94平方公里，面積超過德州達拉斯市，已成為加州歷來第三大森林火災。

路透社報導，加州森林及消防處（California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection）、美國農業部林業署（Forest Service）及相關當局發布聯合聲明說，名稱取自觀景點「世界之環」（Rim of the World）的環火，預期會再燒兩週。

這場8月17日開始延燒的大火，從昨天以來擴大了將近1萬英畝，雖然野火大致還在防火線內。消防隊員在環火約80%周圍開闢了防火線。

面積約3000平方公里的優勝美地國家公園（Yosemite National Park）位於舊金山以東，每年約有400萬遊客，多半於6月到8月間造訪。通常8月有62萬名遊客，但這場大火使遊客人數下降。
