馬英九總統13日晚間率「賀誼專案」訪團，抵達巴拉圭參加新任總統卡提斯就職典禮。

專機13日清晨6點自紐約甘迺迪機場起飛，上午10點半抵達海地進行前後6小時訪問，隨即轉往我南美洲唯一友邦巴拉圭，並於晚間10點半抵達。從北美洲東岸飛到中美洲再到南美洲，氣溫從涼爽的24度到酷熱的30度、再變成冷洌刺骨的5到9度，訪團落地後都大喊吃不消，但守候在機場的上百名台灣僑胞，對馬總統來訪仍興奮熱情歡迎。
