紅襪隊Jon Lester為什麼能在世界大賽第一戰好投？紅雀隊小聯盟投手指控：Lester手套裡有玄機！不過紅襪隊否認，紅雀隊這邊也說，對Lester的手套沒有意見。

世界大賽第一戰打完，紅雀隊小聯盟投手Tyler Melling在推特發文、貼照片，質疑Lester作弊，因為這位紅襪隊投手手套裡面，藏有一塊黃綠色的物質。

Lester對黃綠色物質的解釋是：「我不知道，那塊東西就像超大鼻屎。」他堅稱沒有作弊，只在手套塗了松香油而已。

教頭John Farrell也為子弟兵說話：「要是你們認識Lester，就知道他流起汗來，跟豬一樣，所以需要松香油，塗在手套上。有些投手會把松香油抹在手腕，其他投手則抹在褲管上。」

紅雀隊總經理John Mozeliak也說，這沒什麼大不了。「這件事是從社群網站而起，不是我們教練團、或是選手，」Mozeliak說，「就我而言，那不是問題。」 (接下一頁)
